Is Nepal Safe for Trekking now ?
For trekking, I would not describe Nepal as “completely safe right now.” Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology currently shows warnings in effect, and recent official guidance has highlighted heavy rain, flooding and landslide risks.
Nepal is open to travelers, but trekking conditions are not the same everywhere right now. Some areas remain affected by floods, landslides and weather-related risks, so trekkers should check their exact route before departure. If conditions are not suitable today, that does not mean Nepal will remain unsuitable in the future.
For general travel, Nepal is not under a nationwide do-not-travel advisory, but there is increased caution advised, and some specific flood-damaged areas are restricted. For trekking right now, I would not call it “completely safe”, because weather warnings and landslide risks still exist. However, that does not mean all trekking is closed or unsafe. Many routes operate with local guidance. Conditions vary by area, so you should check your exact route’s status before departure and follow local advisories. So, the message I’d put on your site is: Nepal is open to travellers, but trekking conditions are not the same everywhere right now, so check your route, use a registered guide, and follow official updates. If conditions aren’t suitable, wait. The mountains will still be there.
